About

Hi, I’m Huw (Quixatocs)

In short, I’m a massive Video-Game nerd with some degrees in Music composition. This makes me super interested in dynamic music in video-games. So much so that I’m researching some new ways to improve generative and branching music within some game scenarios.

This site is both my online portfolio and my blog into some of my thoughts and experiments into video-game music audio.

Being trained in Max/MSP/Jitter most of my programming comes from this background and so most of my music engines will be coded in that. For this reason I’ve added a link to cycling ’74′s download page where you can install (for free) Max/MSP runtime so you can use any of the standalone Max/MSP apps that I load up on this site.

Although most of the content for my blog will be aimed at drawing an inactive listener’s attention to the wonders of dynamic music, I will also just be writing on some interesting developments in video-game development or new user interfaces.

Happy reading.
